why this workshop?
There’s so many workshop options out there nowadays! But this isn’t one of those workshops where you sit and wait your turn to perform on camera, nervously anticipating how you might be perceived. Instead, it’s a supportive, confidence-building space designed to help you reconnect with the craft of acting, while learning how that work translates into auditioning, self-taping, and working on set.
This is a 7-hour, process-focused training experience. The first two hours are off-camera: practical, collaborative, and grounded in exploration. The remaining five hours allow each participant individual time to workshop and explore a scene on camera. You’ll be given a selection of scenes to choose from, or you’re welcome to bring a scene of your own. There are only 8 spots on the workshop so that each actor gets adequate 1-1 time, while also benefiting from observing others work in depth - a vital part of developing screen craft, confidence, and artistic awareness.
If you’re familiar with my work or the stories I share on The 98%, you’ll know I left drama school with very little confidence, constantly chasing the next thing that might make me feel “valid” as an actor. Through continued training and ongoing screen-focused work, I found my way back to confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment in the craft. I stopped thinking about how to “stand out” and started bringing my full self to the role, the character, and the scene - and everything shifted.
This workshop is about helping you get to that place too. A place where an audition or self-tape arrives and you feel excited, grounded, and ready to engage with the entire process, rather than seeing it as a means to an end.
WHO MIGHT THIS INTEREST?
This workshop is for actors with some prior training who are:

Wanting to build confidence and ease when working on camera
Ready to feel re-ignited in their love of the craft
Interested in deepening their understanding of the technical and creative aspects of self-taping
Wanting to feel more supported, energised, and resourced in the ongoing processes of being an actor
COST
The fee for this workshop is £70 *
